Craving a romantic homecooked meal but don’t want to be the one to cook it? Live in or visiting the West, South or Highlands area of Louisville, Kentucky? Love a little luxury in your life that won’t break the bank? Anthony B. Cameron, Jr. is a private chef and caterer based in Louisville, Kentucky and he’s serving up all the good eats whether you’re in need of a private meal or a catered event. He supplies Afro, Asian, Caribbean, Latinx and Indian cuisines that promote health and dietary benefits.
Chef Cameron’s restaurant The O’press, pronounced oppress, is a two-part restaurant service. As a 401c3 “pay what you can” restaurant that enables them to combat food insecurity within respective areas. The catering part exists to, as Chef Cameron says, “Redefine soul food while serving businesses, private clients and common folk.”

The menu is one worth tasting. Chef Cameron composed a world class spread of braised meats, scratch soups and seasonal sides. For the meat you can choose from lamb, steak, goat, short beef ribs, halibut, or smoked sockeye salmon. Pho, pozole, and oxtail stew will keep you warm in the colder months and never expect the same sides because they are forever changing. We enjoyed a private dinner with medium filet mignon and shrimp and lobster puree. Both were exquisite in taste and Chef Cameron is very professional and entertaining without being overbearing. He knows what he’s doing in the kitchen and hit the mark with assisting in a luxury, romantic, socially distanced date night. Book him if you’re in the Louisville area or put someone in need onto his food insecurity services. Chef Cameron is making positive moves with O’press and delivers on the luxury experience to a T.
