Foodie and The Beast

Back at it again with the trips to Vegas? Why yes, I am. Ever heard of Area 15? Not to be confused with Area 51, this is the place to be for some adult filled fun. Picture a theme park with a distillery, 90’s nostalgia, indoor zip lines and more. There are a variety of restaurants in Area 15 with many different cuisines. Wanting to keep it light, we went to The Beast by Todd English.

Who is Todd English? Only an American chef who’s been racking up prestigious awards in the restaurant world since the 90’s. He is a restaurantur with over 10 restaurants, some with multiple locations. So in other words, we had high expectations and the expectations were met! The Beast is English’s latest eatery, established in February, 2021. It’s located in the belly of a dragon, hence the name, The Beast. The interior is dark with candlebra lighting and an exposed kitchen so you can see how your food is prepared. The walls change colors with car and motorcycle decor. There’s a full bar and plenty of beer to go around.

Now when I said we wanted to keep it light, I meant on drinks, not food. We ordered the Loaded Fries to start. The fries were piled high with short rib, cheese, scallions and pickled onions. Shareable? Check. Flavorful? Double check! The cheese was the cohesion to the appetizer and the pickled onions created a balance we didn’t even know we needed! Definitely something you need to try.

Next up were the Korean Corn Dogs. It was giving fair vibes and who doesn’t love the fair? They are made with premium beef hot dogs and drizzled with spicy ketchup and honey mustard. Very tasty and incomparable to the ones they serve at schools. They need Todd’s recipe for real.

What’s a good follow up to a corn dog? How about some wings? Our order of Gives U Wings were served with buffalo sauce and ranch. Besides the wings being mouthwatering, the display was unlike anything I’d ever seen. I loved it! The wings are a good size as well which is important because nobody likes tiny wings.

Are we done yet? Oh nah, there’s more. The beef birria queso taco with consommé were calling me so I had to get it. The beef was seasoned well and the queso was delicious. The consommé paired perfectly for dipping. Birria tacos have become very popular in the last couple years and these did not disappoint.

The entree that stole the entire show was the Beast Burger. This is Todd English’s classic double stack burger. The beef was cooked perfetly, cheese was melted and there was plenty of it. The thing that took it to the next level was the potato spiral tower that sat atop the burger. Once again, floored by the presentation.

Lastly, we hit the sweet bar. I got the Oreo Ohhh and it was highly pleasing. Just the right amount of sweet without being overpowering. There are sooo many desserts to choose from, including a Big A$$ Cookie. Make sure to save room for some.

The Beast has an electric menu so there’s something for everyone! It fits the Area15 atmosphere and even though we didn’t get drinks the food was enough to satisfy all taste buds. They are a first come first serve style restaurant so no reservations are needed. Come and enjoy what The Beast is dishing out.
