With all there is to offer in Las Vegas, it’s a must I put y’all on to ALL the good eats. This weeks highlight comes from a prominent restaurant on The Strip, the Peppermill Restaurant and Fireside Lounge. This is one of those places you have to visit to get the full Vegas experience. Peppermill is “as Vegas as Vegas gets.” Established December 26, 1972, Peppermill has since become legendary. Many music videos have been shot here and they’ve even made cameos in a couple movies!

As soon as you walk in, there are about six machines where you can get your gamble on. There is seating at the diner style counter as well as sufficient seating like huge booths throughout the entire place. The decor is on point with faux flowers coming from the ceiling and trees in the middle of the floor. There are plants everywhere! Peppermill has only been renovated once in the 80’s and has since kept a retro style. Peppermill provides plenty of tvs for sports and whatnot if the conversation at your table isn’t entertaining enough.
Peppermill is known for its large portions and drinks that will have you flying. Since you can get breakfast, lunch or dinner here, I got a taste of it all. The breakfast part of the meal was the French Toast Collage. The collage came with three eggs which I subbed out for hashbrowns with cheese, two bacon strips, two sausage links and four wedges of french toast. Everything was good, as expected. It was your typical breakfast plate but with more flavor than you’d find at your normal diner. They know how to make breakfast right.

The over the top part of the meal goes to the California Burger. This massive thing was made with a half pound of ground chuck, habenero jack cheese, applewood smoked bacon, guacamole, with a giant onion ring on a jalepeno cheddar bun. One thing Peppermill knows is how to build a burger. So many toppings make you savor each bite and we can’t forget the curly fries. The fries were fried perfectly and of course we needed them for sponge purposes because what comes next..?

The drinks! They were brought out before the food as they needed to be because one is really all you need. I know, crazy right? Trust me though, if you’re planning to have a day of drinking one will be fine at the Peppermill. The bartenders know what they’re doing and they are trying to have you feeling beyond good.
The CoronaRita is Peppermill’s signature margarita with an upside down seven ounce Corona. The beer offsets the strength of the tequila making it quintessentially balanced.

The next drink was called the Hawaiian Sunset Mimosa. It was made with pineapple juice, champagne and muddled strawberries. Once again the bartender blended everything flawlessly and the drink was nice to look at before indulging.

Once you visit the Peppermill Restaurant and Fireside Lounge you’ll see what all the hype is about. The atmosphere may give some nostalgic feels which is welcomed and the service is exceptional. There’s no question as to why Peppermill has been voted Best of Las Vegas numerous years in a row. Bring everyone, they have plenty of food and booths for it all.
