Cozumel is an island in Mexico. There is something about Mexican that not only makes my mouth water, but makes me want to party. I am not talking about Taco Bell (No shade because I eat there too) I’m talking about the juicy, sensational seasons unique to the Mexican culture. So, when I touched down in Ohio, I just had to hit up the Mi Cozumel Cantina with my crew.
Right off the bat I felt like I was in Mexico. The atmosphere was incredible with the music playing, the bright colors and the delicious food aroma. As soon as I was seated, I went straight for the menu. The drink menu was extensive, especially in the tequila department featuring 40 different kinds of margaritas. The food menu was rather lengthy, which is good if you haven’t had much exposure to authentic Mexican cuisine.
I was not dining alone so I ordered a pitcher of drinks for the table. I would highly recommend you bring a couple of friends with you to enjoy the full experience because this restaurant has much to offer, especially with a large party. Plus, Mexican food isn’t meant to be enjoyed alone culturally, it is meant to be shared so why not get LIT with the crew? When the waiter came back with 2 88oz margarita towers, I knew we were going to be lit for the night…..which hung over to the next morning 🤪. For those who do not know the math 88ozs equals 11cups! Just know that me and my party of 6 had an interesting time with our Cancun Sunrise (strawberry and melon margarita with blue patron) and Mangonda (spicy frozen mango margarita). The delivery was cool too. The waiter brought the containers over, balancing them oh so well. If it were me, I swear they would not have made it to the table. He smiled when we started cheering and taking pictures of him and the drinks. More of the drinks than him ha!
Our food choices were a mixture of everything essential. I’m talking hot wings, nachos, quesadillas and tacos, pretty much what is offered at any Mexican restaurant. My mouth became enflamed once I tasted the hot wings. Mucho hot wings is not just the name of the wings it’s a warning label!!!! Everything was so fresh and delightful to my tastebuds. I had some Cancun Sunrise to soothe my burning tongue. Overall, I was satisfied with the food, alcohol and the pricing. The menu is reasonable priced with food choices ranging from $9.99 and up.

So, if you do not have a passport but want to experience some of what Mexico has to offer. Come to Springdale, Ohio to Mi Cozumel. My experience was one of a kind and I am sure yours would be too. They got something for everybody. If you’re a vegetarian, they got you! If you’re a seafood lover, they got you! If you’re a meat lover, they got you with some of the best and highly seasoned chicken, steak, and pork. I got to say this was an amazing restaurant and if I ever get a chance to go back to Springdale, I will make it my business to grab me some enchiladas and a margarita from Mi Cozmuel
