Everyone needs to eat like a king, especially when visiting Indianapolis. In this Midwestern city, known for its fast cars and full plates, we got the rubdown on King Ribs B-B-Q.

King Ribs B-B-Q is one of the first restaurants of its kind. Since 1990 Theopolis Clardy Sr. and his crew have been serving up some of the finest barbecue that has ever graced the streets of Indianapolis. Rather than setting up and old fashioned, sit-down spot, the team decided to create one of the first drive through barbecue restaurants in Indiana.
One of the best things about King Ribs B-B-Q is that it offers specials every day of the week. On Sunday you can get a rib dinner for $8.98 and on Wednesday you can get half a chicken for only $5.50. With sides like homemade coleslaw, mac and cheese and baked beans it’s easy to see why you’ll be feasting like true royalty!
Finding a Hidden Gem

After grubbing down on some authentic barbecue, we found The Boiling and feasted like kings and queens! Practically plated on silver, a full lobster, served alongside shrimp, muscles and crab legs came drenched in butter and dusted with Cajun seasoning. Come hungry so you can fully experience the essence of Indiana, which includes leaving with a satisfied belly.

The best part about The Boiling is that it’s affordable for everyone. The craw fish boil (pictured above) was only $80. Each of us had second helpings and took leftovers home. If you don’t indulge in Cajun cooking, The Boiling has a variety of sushi listed on its menu. Check it out and get ready to experience a real treat!
Digging into a craw fish boil with my family, reminded me about what’s important in life.
